Canadian freestyle skier Marion Thénault clinched a silver medal in the women’s aerials event at the World Cup in Ruka, Finland. Thénault achieved a score of 82.48 points in the final, marking her first podium finish of the season. Xu Mengtao of China secured the gold with a score of 89.29 points, while Chen Meiting, also from China, claimed the bronze with a score of 75.31 points. Thénault moved up from fifth place in the qualifiers to third place in the initial final before landing on the podium’s second spot. Hailing from Sherbrooke, Quebec, the 25-year-old athlete had previously won a bronze medal in the mixed team aerials event at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
