Lily Allen makes cryptic ‘things change’ comment as she snubs ‘cheating’ David Harbour

Lily Allen has shared a cryptic comment as she shrugged off her estranged husband David Harbour’s birthday. The singer and Stranger Things star split in December last year – four years after they married one another. Earlier this month, it was claimed that throughout their marriage, David had an affair behind Lily’s back.

Reports claim that the actor “cheated” on the songstress with a costume designer having met on a film set. Their relationship reportedly lasted more three years with David also paying for the mystery woman to fly to Atlanta while he was there filming for Stranger Things.

Elsewhere, David was reportedly spotted on a celebrity dating app during his marriage to Lily. The actor has not publicly acknowledged the accusations that he cheated on Lily or that he was on an app while married to the singer.

The Not Fair singer allegedly turned detective to find his page on the exclusive app after noticing that their marriage had been falling apart for some time. Now, in the latest episode of her Miss Me? podcast alongside pal Miquita Oliver, Lily shared a very cryptic comment.

Opening the podcast, Miquita apologised to listeners as they had to take a week out for “reasons” which were out of both her and Lily’s control. “Things change,” Lily shrugged as she reflected. Elsewhere, Lily revealed her thoughts on humanity and likened it to a Venus flytrap.

“Why would humanity be a Venus flytrap, darling?,” asked Miquita. Lily responded: “It just like lures you in,” before making a snap gesture. “Kills you,” she added. Earlier this year Lily confessed she had checked herself into a treatment centre to deal with the trauma of the split. She admitted last month that she still wasn’t “over it”.

During a recent live recording of the Miss Me? podcast she hosts with Miquita, Lily said: “I’m finding it hard to be interested in anything. I’m really not in a good place. I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiralling and spiralling and spiralling, and it’s got out of control. I’ve tried.”

She added: “I am not over it. I am sort of running away. Maybe I will have a nervous breakdown.” After her treatment in January, Lily told listeners she was in a better place. She confessed she had a “found a good group of people” taking care of her while she was still living in the US with her two children, Ethel and Marnie, from her previous marriage to director Sam Cooper.

But while Lily admits she previously held grudges in the past, it doesn’t look as though she will hold one against her ex-husband. She told listeners: “I did used to scrap with people but it was related to my active addiction. I would sometimes lash out but it is not part of my life any more.”

Lily and David first met on a dating app in 2019 and while she found what she believed to be love, she initially didn’t have high expectations for finding anybody on the app. Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, she said previously: “It was the first time I’d been on this dating app. I was scrolling through and landed on David’s profile and pressed accept.

“I didn’t know who he was. I thought he was just like a sexy policeman from a reality TV show because he was wearing a policeman’s uniform. It was a still from Stranger Things. I’d never seen Stranger Things. I don’t even know what I was looking for. It was just something to do on holiday, swiping, it’s a bit of fun.”
