Actor Michelle Keegan showcased two tributes to newborn daughter Palma in her wardrobe, including a “personalised” piece of jewellery, this week. It comes after Mark Wright spoke about the decision over their baby’s name recently.
Michelle, 37, and her husband Mark, 38, have been sharing updates on parenthood since they announced Palma’s birth in a joint post on social media last month. It’s included the couple – who were met with supportive messages over the new arrival – posting about their first holiday as a trio.
The latest post on Instagram from Michelle included a selfie of the actor in which she modelled two necklaces that were in tribute to Palma. One necklace had her daughter’s name on it in sparkling letters, whilst the other piece of jewellery instead had three pendants, all of the letter ‘P’.
Brassic star Michelle revealed that one ‘P’ was for Palma, whilst the others represented her chihuahua Pip and dachshund Phoebe. She wrote in the post: “For my 3 girls.” Beside heart emojis, she added: “Palma, Phoebe and Pip.”
She tagged Chain Reaction Jewellers above the ‘Palma’ necklace and the brand recently posted that it was a “personalised diamond necklace” for her. Michelle tagged Dana Seng Jewelry beneath the other necklace in the post.
Michelle had previously showcased the ‘Palma’ necklace in a post on the platform in celebration of Mother’s Day. It had been part of her outfit for the special occasion last month that she had celebrated alongside her in-laws.
The new post comes after Mark spoke about Palma whilst on This Morning yesterday. It included him discussing their choice of name for the newborn after host Siân Welby suggested that there’s a “lovely sort of meaning” behind it.
Addressing speculation that Palma was named after the resort on Majorca, Mark replied to the presenter: “Well, that’s what the papers say.” He went on to share whilst on the ITV show earlier this week: “We just love the name.”
Mark continued in the interview: “We love the name Palmer with an ‘er’ and then we just liked putting an ‘a’ on the end and we just liked the way it read.” He concluded by sharing with the host: “So, yeah, we just love the name, really.”
Opening up about parenthood, Mark said: “It’s incredible. We’re just enjoying being parents.” He added: “They say it’s the best feeling in the world. They’re not wrong. It is.”
It comes after Mark and Michelle announced Palma’s birth in a post on Instagram last month. Alongside a photo of the newborn, they wrote: “Together we have a new love to share… Our little girl. Palma Elizabeth Wright. 06.03.25.”
More recently, celebrating Mother’s Day, Michelle wrote in her round-up post for the occasion: “Such a special day from start to finish. Happy Mother’s Day.” And after taking a trip away together, she told fans in a post on Instagram last week: “A little break away filled with special memories.”
