Canada’s Grondin earns silver medal in World Cup men’s snowboard cross

Canada’s Eliot Grondin earned a World Cup silver medal at a men’s snowboard cross competition on Saturday in Erzurum, Turkey.

Grondin finished behind Germany’s Leon Ulbricht and ahead of Nick Baumgartner of the United States on the podium.

The Sainte-Marie, Que., native was the top qualifier on Friday entering Saturday’s final.

It’s the second World Cup medal of the season for the 23-year-old Grondin.
