Taylor Swift enthusiasts will soon have the opportunity to experience the singer’s highly successful Eras Tour finale that took place in Vancouver in December. The release of a new movie, titled “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show,” was announced on Good Morning America. This movie will debut on Disney+, showcasing a complete concert film of Swift’s concluding performance on the Eras Tour at B.C. Place.
Accompanying the movie will be a six-episode docuseries focusing on the tour, with the initial two episodes scheduled to premiere on December 12. Canada served as the ultimate stop for the 149-show, 20-month Eras Tour, which attracted over 10 million fans across 19 countries.
Speculation about a potential film arose among fans after observing a camera crew documenting Swift’s final three shows in Vancouver. Notably, Swift confirmed that the title track of her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” concludes with the crowd noise from the sold-out B.C. Place concert, evoking poignant memories for her.
The upcoming concert feature, set to be released a day before Swift’s 36th birthday, should not be confused with the 2023 film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” which preceded the release of her 11th album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The latter era, introduced in May 2024, will not be included in the initial concert film but will feature in the movie premiering on December 12.
