A teenager from Windsor, Ontario, has set a Guinness World Record by stacking the most bottle caps in 30 seconds using chopsticks. Daniel Joseph Ireneo, a 14-year-old student at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School, achieved this feat with 12 caps on August 13. Despite initial difficulties, Ireneo’s determination and practice paid off, starting from stacking three caps to eventually reaching 12 in a towering column.
Inspired by a Guinness World Record book gifted by his mom at the age of eight, Ireneo dedicated hours and weeks to perfecting his stacking skills. With the support of his parents, particularly his mother Vivian Ireneo, who captured his efforts on video, Ireneo remained persistent in his pursuit of excellence.
Overwhelmed by her son’s unwavering commitment, Vivian Ireneo recalls the moment of triumph vividly. Despite moments of doubt, Daniel Joseph Ireneo’s resilience and humility shone through, earning praise from his family and friends. His aunt, Madeline Butac, commended his perseverance and highlighted his example as a motivation for young people to pursue worthwhile endeavors.
The Ireneo family, including relatives in the Philippines, celebrates Daniel’s achievement and looks forward to his bright future. As he aims to become a doctor, the young record-holder emphasizes the importance of perseverance and hard work in achieving success. His story serves as a reminder that behind every success lies dedication and struggle, urging others to never give up on their aspirations.
