In a rural area near Sundre, Alberta, a delivery driver was assaulted and threatened with a rifle while attempting to deliver household appliances on December 4. The driver mistakenly arrived at the wrong address and parked along the roadside before contacting the customer for clarification, according to Cpl. Gina Slaney of the Alberta Mounties.

Upon the customer’s arrival, a dispute arose when the customer provided a different delivery location, which the driver deemed unacceptable due to established procedures. The situation quickly turned violent, with the customer reportedly physically assaulting the driver and brandishing a firearm, threatening harm unless the appliances were placed as instructed.

Fortunately, the delivery driver managed to escape unharmed in his vehicle. Subsequently, a 31-year-old individual from Sundre was apprehended at his residence, where authorities confiscated 16 firearms and a significant quantity of ammunition. The suspect now faces multiple charges, including assault and firearm-related extortion.
