The annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade took place in New York City, showcasing new balloons featuring iconic characters like Buzz Lightyear and Pac-Man, alongside classic floats such as Tom Turkey. The parade, starting on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and concluding at Macy’s Herald Square flagship store on 34th Street, dazzled spectators with 34 balloons, 28 floats, 11 marching bands, and various performers.
Attendees marveled at the Stuart the Minion balloon soaring overhead as it passed by, while the new Mario balloon from Nintendo also made its grand appearance. Music artist Shaggy was among the 29 performers entertaining the crowds, seen on the Jennie-O float during the procession.
Spectators enjoyed watching the spectacle from various vantage points, with onlookers from balconies and buildings catching glimpses of the colorful parade, including the new Pac-Man and Derpy Tiger balloons. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by performers in vibrant costumes and floats like the Labubu from Pop Mart making their way down Sixth Avenue.
Santa Claus himself made a special appearance, spreading holiday cheer from his sleigh, while the Spider-Man balloon by Marvel added a touch of superhero excitement to the event. The parade was a joyous celebration, bringing together families and friends to kick off the holiday season in a spectacular way.
