The company Mellow Food is conducting a voluntary recall of specific batches of Delici Dubai Style chocolate mousse because they may contain cashew and macadamia nuts, which were not listed on the product label, as reported by Costco in a notice released on Tuesday. The affected products were distributed for sale between January and February.
According to Costco, these unlisted allergens could provoke severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reactions in individuals with sensitivities. Consumers are advised not to consume the product if they have allergies to cashew nuts or macadamia nuts.
The chocolate mousse, which serves six, can be identified by the Universal Product Code 812190020825. The affected lot codes and best before dates provided by Mellow Foods are as follows:
