115 ISIS Suspects Arrested in Turkey Christmas Plot

Turkish authorities have arrested 115 suspected members of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) who were allegedly plotting attacks during the Christmas and New Year festivities in Turkey, as announced by the Istanbul chief prosecutor’s office on Thursday. The prosecutor’s office revealed that Istanbul police had received intelligence indicating that ISIS operatives were planning to target non-Muslim individuals specifically.

A total of 124 locations in Istanbul were raided by the police, resulting in the apprehension of 115 out of the 137 suspects being sought. The statement also mentioned the confiscation of several handguns and ammunition during the operations.
