French skier Cyprien Sarrazin has returned to skiing on snow following a severe head injury he sustained a year ago. Sarrazin had to undergo surgery due to bleeding near his brain after a crash during preparations for a World Cup downhill event at the slope designated for the 2026 Winter Olympics. He recently shared a video on Instagram showcasing his skiing comeback and expressing his joy in the moment.
In his Instagram post, Sarrazin mentioned that the experience was exhilarating, emphasizing that nothing compares to the feeling of being back on skis. Reflecting on his progress, he acknowledged that there is still a long road ahead before he can ski without knee discomfort, but he remains optimistic about the journey. Two months after the incident, Sarrazin indicated in an interview with L’Equipe newspaper that he aspired to return to skiing, albeit possibly not in a competitive racing capacity.
