A diagnosis of a welder’s flash, resulting from excessive UV exposure, left Eriksson legally blind, altering the trajectory of his life.
Prior to this life-altering event, Eriksson’s skiing pursuits were more casual, centered around recreational outings with friends rather than competitive aspirations. However, a fortuitous opportunity to join a visually impaired ski team in Alberta led him to discover his passion for competitive skiing.
