The 2026 Polaris Music Prize has unveiled its shortlist, featuring 10 diverse albums vying for the $30,000 top award. Chosen from a pool of 40 albums, the winner will be solely determined based on artistic excellence by a jury.
Among the nominees are Angine de Poitrine, Aquakultre, Begonia, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Bibi Club, Charlotte Cornfield, Les Louanges, Peaches, Rochelle Jordan, and Tanya Tagaq. This year’s selection showcases more geographical diversity compared to the previous year, with representation from Quebec, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and Ontario.
