Kaillie Humphries boosted her preparations for the upcoming Milan Cortina Olympics by clinching a victory in a World Cup event for the first time since 2023. The United States bobsledder, who had previously secured gold for Canada in the two-woman events at Vancouver in 2010 and Sochi in 2014, along with a bronze in Pyeongchang in 2018, made a triumphant return to the podium after taking a break from the sport in December 2023 due to her pregnancy.

Teaming up with Emily Renna, Humphries emerged victorious in the two-woman World Cup race in Sigulda, Latvia, marking her first win since February 2023 at the same venue. Expressing her joy, the 40-year-old athlete shared, “Being back on top after three years feels great. This is my first win as a mom, and a first win ever for Emily. This is a special one for us both. A perfect early Christmas present for us both, and the team.”

The bobsleigh event at the Milan Cortina Olympics is scheduled to take place in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy from February 12 to 22.
