CF Montreal has officially extended forward Prince Owusu’s contract for five more years, as announced by the team on Friday. The new agreement covers the 2026, 2027, and 2027-28 seasons, with potential extensions for the 2028-29 and 2029-30 campaigns utilizing targeted allocation funds.
Owusu had an impressive first season with the club in 2025, netting a total of 17 goals in various competitions, including 13 in Major League Soccer, two in the Canadian Championship, and two in the Leagues Cup. His stellar performance earned him CF Montreal’s prestigious Giuseppe-Saputo Trophy for the team’s Most Valuable Player.
The 28-year-old forward originally joined CF Montreal through a trade with Toronto FC on January 13, 2025. Prior to representing the Ghanaian national team, Owusu had previously played for Germany at the under-15, U18, and U19 levels before making his senior national team debut last month.
