Prince Harry is scheduled to visit Toronto this week to show his support for veterans leading up to Remembrance Day. The prince will be in the city on Wednesday and Thursday.
During his time in Toronto, Prince Harry will participate in various engagements on Wednesday morning and then attend a private lunch hosted by the True Patriot Love Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting Canadian military members, veterans, and their families. In the evening, he is set to attend a fundraising dinner in aid of the HALO Trust, a charity that Princess Diana, his late mother, also endorsed.
On Thursday, Prince Harry will have a private visit with residents at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre. Later in the day, he will attend the national tribute dinner hosted by True Patriot Love. The organization did not provide any comments regarding Prince Harry’s participation in the events.
As a 41-year-old military veteran, the Duke of Sussex served for 10 years in the British army, including two tours of duty in Afghanistan.
After relocating to the United States in 2020, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, initially resided in Canada before moving to Meghan’s home state of California. They announced their decision to step back from their senior royal roles in 2020. Buckingham Palace later confirmed that they would not be returning to their previous duties as working members of the Royal Family.
In the line of succession to the throne, Prince Harry, the son of King Charles, holds the fifth position. His brother, Prince William, is next in line, followed by Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
