CBC Music’s annual Euroradio holiday special, “Joy to the World,” is set to air on Sunday, December 21, 2025, running from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. NT). Paolo Pietropaolo will lead the broadcast, featuring a lineup of Christmas concerts from various European Broadcasting Union countries. A long-standing tradition since 1995, “Joy to the World” is a highly anticipated event on CBC Music, bringing people together through festive music. This year’s program will showcase performances from Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Latvia, Germany, England, Finland, and Ukraine.

For a detailed schedule of the performances, viewers can tune in on December 21 on CBC Music or via CBC Listen. Note that broadcast times in Newfoundland are 30 minutes later than the standard schedule.

The day kicks off at the Berwaldhallen in Stockholm with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Chorus presenting J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio under the baton of Kaspars Putninš. The day will also feature performances from Copenhagen, Denmark; Riga, Latvia; Vienna, Austria; Berlin, Germany; Helsinki, Finland; London, England; Kyiv, Ukraine; and Munich, Germany, showcasing a diverse array of musical talents and holiday spirit.
