“Brett Gallant Shines in Stellar 2025 Curling Season”

Brett Gallant, a key player for Team Brad Jacobs, has had a busy and successful 2025 season, securing victories in various curling competitions. From winning the Canadian mixed doubles trials to reaching the finals of the Grand Slam of Curling and clinching a Montana’s Brier title, Gallant has demonstrated his strength in both disciplines.

Shortly after claiming his fifth career Brier title, Gallant teamed up with his wife, Jocelyn Peterman, to compete in the national mixed doubles playdowns in Summerside, P.E.I. Despite a quick turnaround, Gallant has maintained his performance at the ongoing BKT World Men’s Curling Championship, helping Canada to a solid 3-0 start.

Coach Paul Webster praised Gallant’s dedication and work ethic, noting his quick return to training after the mixed nationals. Gallant’s impressive performance at the Temple Gardens Centre has been notable, with a 91.7% accuracy rate in round-robin play.

Gallant expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in high-profile events at this stage of the season, emphasizing the importance of being in top competitions. Team Jacobs, including Gallant, vice Marc Kennedy, and lead Ben Hebert, has shown confidence and skill in their matches, securing wins against Japan and Germany to lead the competition with a 3-0 record.

Ranked third in the world, Team Jacobs is considered a strong contender for a podium finish in the upcoming competitions. Gallant, who previously won gold in this event eight years ago, is focused on maintaining his mental performance and physical well-being during these high-pressure games.

Looking ahead, Gallant and Peterman aim to secure a spot in the 2026 Milan Olympics through the world mixed doubles playdowns. Additionally, Gallant and Team Jacobs will compete in the Grand Slam season finale in Toronto following the men’s worlds.

With the opportunity to compete in both mixed doubles and four-player disciplines at the upcoming 2026 Games, Gallant is determined to excel in both formats. Team Jacobs has already qualified for the four-player team trials, setting the stage for a potentially successful season ahead.
