The 2026 Winter Paralympic Games in Milan-Cortina are fast approaching, with just 100 days left, and Canadian viewers will have extensive coverage available. CBC/Radio-Canada, known as Canada’s Paralympic Network, has revealed plans for around-the-clock broadcasting, including over 120 original hours of televised content and an extra 800 hours of live streaming across various platforms.

The event in Northern Italy, scheduled from March 6 to March 15, will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Winter Paralympics, a significant milestone in the Paralympic movement. Approximately 600 athletes from different nations will participate in 79 events across six sports: Para alpine skiing, Para biathlon, Para cross-country skiing, Para ice hockey, Para snowboard, and wheelchair curling.

Canada’s team members will be disclosed between November and February. Marie-Philippe Bouchard, the president and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada, expressed excitement about supporting these athletes and emphasized the network’s commitment to offering comprehensive coverage accessible to all Canadians.

CBC will air three live shows daily during the Paralympics, hosted by various personalities. Additionally, special contributors like Paralympic bronze medallist sprinter Marissa Papaconstantinou and Paralympic silver medallist cyclist Nathan Clement will join the broadcasting team. The coverage will include play-by-play and analysis for different sporting events, along with on-ground reporters to keep audiences updated throughout the Games.

Radio-Canada will also provide extensive coverage, including live daytime shows and special segments, with a dedicated late-night program. The network’s digital platforms, CBC Gem and ICI TOU.TV, will stream over 800 hours of live content. Moreover, CBC Sports will feature exclusive digital series on popular social media platforms.

Furthermore, CBC/Radio-Canada’s Milano Cortina 2026 websites will serve as hubs for event schedules, results, athlete profiles, and other updates. The Canadian Olympic Committee and CBC/Radio-Canada have launched the “Where It Begins” campaign, highlighting Para athletes and their inspiring journeys both on and off the field of play.
