“Canadian Pacific Train Derails in Saskatchewan”

Multiple cars from a fully loaded Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway (CPKC) train derailed in the early hours of Tuesday. The incident occurred shortly after midnight CST in a remote area close to Caron, Sask., approximately 25 kilometers west of Moose Jaw. CPKC confirmed that there were no reported injuries.

CPKC stated that the preliminary evaluation indicated that around 18 intermodal rail cars were affected by the derailment. One of the derailed cars was carrying batteries, but there were no other hazardous materials involved, and no spills or risks to public safety were reported. CPKC’s teams are currently present at the site to initiate the cleanup process.
