A duo of Canadian athletes achieved podium finishes at the women’s freestyle skiing slopestyle World Cup event held in Aspen, Colorado. Megan Oldham, hailing from Parry Sound, Ontario, and Elena Gaskell, representing Vernon, British Columbia, claimed the silver and bronze medals, respectively. The gold medal was secured by Kirsty Muir from Great Britain.
Oldham clinched the silver medal with a score of 73.02 on her second run, while Gaskell’s final run earned her a third-place finish with a score of 72.90.
In the men’s competition, American athlete Mac Forehand emerged victorious with a score of 77.38, followed by Henry Sildaru from Estonia in second place with 75.90 points and Ulrik Samnoey from Norway in third place with 74.64 points. The highest-ranking Canadian competitor was Max Moffatt, who finished in sixth place after scoring 72.71 on his second run.
