The 25-year-old athlete from Moncton recently clinched her first Crystal Globe victory at the 2025 ISU Short Track World Tour circuit, securing a silver medal in the 1,500-meter final and becoming the first Canadian woman to achieve this feat.

Meanwhile, William Dandjinou, hailing from Sherbrooke, Que., secured his second consecutive world title, and Team Canada triumphed in the team event, claiming the third Crystal Globe. Sarault expressed her pride in Canada’s dominance, highlighting the strength of the Canadian team.
Expected to be part of the Canadian Olympic team for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Games, Sarault previously competed in the Beijing 2022 Winter Games, finishing 11th in the women’s 1,000m and 1,500m, 4th in the women’s 3,000m relay, and 6th in the mixed 2,000m relay. Reflecting on her upcoming Olympic journey, Sarault emphasized her excitement for a more traditional experience without the restrictions of a COVID-19 impacted event.
