Montreal Canadiens player Kirby Dach will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks due to a foot fracture, as announced by the team on Sunday. To fill the void, forward Joshua Roy has been called up from the Laval Rocket, the team’s AHL affiliate.

This injury adds to the Canadiens’ growing list of setbacks. Recently, the team revealed that forward Alex Newhook and defenseman Kaiden Guhle will be out for an extended period following surgical procedures. Newhook’s surgery on his right ankle will keep him out for approximately four months, while Guhle, who underwent surgery for a partially torn adductor muscle, is expected to miss eight to 10 weeks.

Dach, who has recorded five goals and two assists in 15 games this season, will be a significant absence for the Canadiens during his recovery period.
