Soccer sensation Delaney Baie Pridham has clinched the prestigious title of Northern Super League Player of the Year. The Ottawa Rapid striker also secured the accolade for the league’s top forward, claiming the golden boot award after netting an impressive 18 goals.
Pridham, a talented player with dual Canadian-American citizenship originating from northern California, dominated the NSL statistics by leading in both total shots taken (83) and shots on target (42). Her exceptional performance included a remarkable hat trick in June, marking a historic moment in the league.
In addition to Pridham’s success, Jyllissa Harris of Ottawa was recently crowned NSL Defender of the Year. The outstanding performances of Pridham and Harris, alongside the commendable contributions of defender Olivia Scott and midfielder Min A Lee, earned them spots in the league’s esteemed “Team of the Year.”
Despite a competitive season, the Ottawa Rapid secured a commendable second-place finish in the six-team league, amassing 39 points from 11 wins, eight losses, and six draws across 25 matches. The team is now gearing up to face off against the Vancouver Rise in an upcoming home-and-home semifinal series.
