Liam Hickey netted two goals as Canada secured a 3-1 victory over Czech Republic in Para Cup hockey competition held in Dawson Creek, B.C. Vincent Boily contributed another goal for Canada, pushing their record to 2-0 following a dominant 7-0 triumph against China in the tournament opener. Vaclav Hecko scored the solitary goal for the Czech team with 6:36 remaining in the match. The game remained scoreless in the initial period before Boily initiated the scoring 2:10 into the second period. Hickey extended Canada’s lead nearly ten minutes later and completed his brace at 11:56 in the third period, bringing the score to 3-0. Canada is set to face off against the United States, their rivals, on Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET.
