“Juno Awards 2022: Celebrating Music Excellence”

On March 29, music enthusiasts tuned in to watch the 55th annual Juno Awards broadcasted live from Hamilton on CBC Music. The event was hosted by Mae Martin at Hamilton’s TD Coliseum, featuring performances by Daniel Caesar, William Prince, Arkells, and the Beaches.

Joni Mitchell and Nelly Furtado were honored during the ceremony. Mitchell received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Furtado was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

The show was broadcasted live nationwide at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on various CBC platforms, including CBC-TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, and CBC Listen. Global viewers could also stream the event on CBCMusic.ca/junos and CBC Music’s YouTube channel. The broadcast included described video, closed captioning, and an American Sign Language (ASL) version.
