Despite challenging weather conditions with snowfall and reduced visibility, Odermatt defended his lead from the first run to claim victory by a margin of 0.49 seconds over Brazil’s Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, with Leo Anguenot of France finishing third, 0.68 seconds behind.
Acknowledging Odermatt’s prowess on the slopes, Pinheiro Braathen praised the Swiss skier as the “king of the hill,” expressing admiration for the intense competition at the renowned race. Odermatt’s triumph extended his winning streak at Adelboden since 2022, surpassing the legendary Ingemar Stenmark’s four consecutive wins from 1979 to 1982.
