RCMPÂ say a 13-year-old boy who went missing in northern Saskatchewan has been found safe and has returned home.
The boy from Big River First Nation was reported missing at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to a notice from RCMP via the Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory Network Sunday evening.
In a news release early Monday afternoon, RCMP provided more information, including the boy’s age. He was found safe later that day, RCMP said in a Monday night news release.
An earlier version of this story included a description of the boy and his name. Both have now been removed.
Big River First Nation is located about 100 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert.
RCMP are also engaged in a manhunt following three stabbing incidents in the area late Saturday afternoon, but have not confirmed whether there is any link between that incident and the missing teen.
