The Ottawa Redblacks have decided to part ways with head coach Bob Dyce following a string of six consecutive losses that concluded their season. The decision to dismiss Dyce came after the team’s 35-15 defeat to Hamilton, marking their fifth absence from the CFL playoffs since their appearance in the 2018 Grey Cup.

Bob Dyce joined the Redblacks in 2016 as the special-teams coordinator and later assumed the role of head coach in 2022. While he guided Ottawa to a 9-8-1 record and secured their first playoff spot in half a decade last season, the team’s performance declined this year, finishing with a 4-14 record under his leadership. Throughout his tenure as head coach, Dyce accumulated an 18-39-1 record.

General manager Shawn Burke expressed the challenges of the decision, commending Dyce for his dedication and strong work ethic during his time with the team.
