The PWHL’s two newest teams have revealed their jerseys. PWHL Vancouver and Seattle unveiled their inaugural jerseys, featuring the city names stitched across the chest on both home and away sweaters. The teams will soon introduce names and logos that will be incorporated into their 2026-27 jerseys.
Vancouver’s jersey design is inspired by the city’s natural surroundings, with a color palette of pacific blue, cream, and earthy bronze accents. Forward Sarah Nurse expressed her excitement about fans seeing the jerseys for the first time and looks forward to wearing them in the upcoming games.
Seattle’s jerseys feature deep slate green, cream, and river blue accents. The team’s General Manager, Meghan Turner, highlighted the classic design that pays tribute to the league’s inaugural season and the journey leading to their presence in Seattle.
The PWHL season kicks off on Nov. 21, with Seattle facing Vancouver in one of the opening night games. Both teams were constructed through an expansion draft process, resulting in the loss of key players from the existing six league teams.
Vancouver boasts a strong defensive lineup with players like Sophie Jaques, Claire Thompson, and Mellissa Channell-Watkins from the Minnesota Frost. The team also signed forwards Hannah Miller and Jennifer Gardiner, along with goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer and Kristen Campbell via trade.
Seattle showcases a combination of size and skill, with top players like Hilary Knight, Alex Carpenter, and Hannah Bilka forming a formidable lineup. PWHL Vancouver will play its home games at Pacific Coliseum, while Seattle will compete at Climate Pledge Arena, sharing the venue with the NHL’s Seattle Kraken and WNBA’s Seattle Storm. Seattle’s first home game will be against the Minnesota Frost on Nov. 28.
