Quebec’s Superior Court has issued a temporary injunction preventing a man and his son from continuing to donate sperm following accusations of fathering numerous children. The injunction will remain in place until the ongoing legal case progresses further.

The duo is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims to have had three children using one man’s sperm and a fourth child with the genetic material of the man’s son. Allegedly, the men breached their agreement, which reportedly specified that one man would cease sperm donations after fathering 25 children, and the other after 10 children.

According to court records, the woman conducted her own investigation and found that one man is associated with over 450 children, while the other is linked to more than 160 offspring. Although the men deny agreeing to halt sperm donations, they acknowledge surpassing the alleged limits set by the plaintiff.

In a judgment dated March 18, Justice Simon Chamberland expressed concern that the defendants have far exceeded recommended limits for fathering children, posing potential risks to the offspring and their families. Chamberland emphasized that each sperm donation by the men further prejudices the plaintiff and her four children.
