Rush has decided to postpone two upcoming concert dates due to lead singer and bassist Geddy Lee falling ill with laryngitis and bronchitis. The band expressed regret for rescheduling the June 30 and July 2 shows on their Instagram account, citing advice from Geddy’s doctors to allow him more time to recover before performing again.

In a statement, the band acknowledged the disappointment fans may feel, especially those who had made travel arrangements and were eagerly anticipating the concerts. Guitarist Alex Lifeson shared in a video on Instagram that Geddy’s condition was so severe that he could barely speak, let alone sing during the soundcheck.

The concerts at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, have been moved to July 11 and 13. This rescheduling follows a previous change in dates from June 24 to July 2 due to unforeseen travel and border-related delays affecting production. The band’s Fifty Something Tour will kick off in Toronto at Scotiabank Arena on August 7.
