The quest for a five-year-old boy in the southwestern region of Alberta has now reached its third day. Law enforcement officials have reported that despite two consecutive nights of searches, there has been no success in locating Darius Macdougall.

Darius disappeared on Sunday after not returning from a stroll with six family members near their campsite close to Island Lake Provincial Recreation Area, situated south of Crowsnest Pass. Authorities have advised individuals to steer clear of the area and allow the trained search personnel to conduct their operations.

Described as four feet tall with short brown hair, Darius was last seen sporting a blue-grey hoodie and sweatpants. Police have highlighted that the young boy has autism, a condition that might hinder his responsiveness to others. Search efforts are concentrated in the vicinity south of Highway 3 near Island Lake Provincial Recreation Area.
