Toronto Blue Jays enthusiasts could have a shot at snagging complimentary playoff tickets this weekend thanks to Rogers. The Blue Jays’ proprietor revealed on Thursday that 500 free tickets for each Blue Jays postseason home game at Rogers Centre will be up for grabs. “The excitement of postseason baseball is palpable across Canada right now,” stated Terrie Tweddle, Rogers’ chief brand and communications officer, in a press release. “As the proud owners of the Toronto Blue Jays, we aim to offer more fans and customers the opportunity to witness the thrill firsthand.”

The initial two games of the American League Division Series are scheduled to take place in Toronto on Saturday and Sunday. Rogers will distribute 250 pairs of tickets for each weekend game on a first-come, first-served basis at an undisclosed location in the Greater Toronto Area. The locations will be disclosed at 8:30 a.m. on each game day via Rogers’ social media platforms.

Fans who cannot reach a designated location will have a chance to participate by commenting on an Instagram post before 10 a.m. for an opportunity to win one of 10 pairs of tickets for that day. Toronto secured a bye to the Division Series after clinching the AL East and the top seed in the American League with a 13-4 victory over Tampa Bay on the final day of the regular season.

If Boston triumphs in the AL Wild Card Series against the New York Yankees, Toronto will kick off the playoffs against the Red Sox at 1:08 p.m. ET on Saturday. Alternatively, if New York advances, the Blue Jays will face the Yankees at 4:08 p.m. on the same day. Game 2 is scheduled for 4:08 p.m. on Sunday in either scenario.

As of Wednesday night, Boston and New York are deadlocked at 1-1 in the best-of-three series.
