Last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the popular polka-dotted sensation known as Angine de Poitrine made its debut on U.S. television with a performance of a new song. Hailing from Saguenay, Quebec, the duo has had a remarkable year, gaining widespread recognition following a KEXP session earlier and subsequently appearing on the renowned U.K. show Later… with Jools Holland, where they crossed paths with Shania Twain. They also had the opportunity to open for Jack White in Toronto and have been nominated for the 2026 Polaris Music Prize for their album Vol. II.

During their first appearance on The Tonight Show, Angine de Poitrine kicked off their performance with their distinct triangle hand sign and flashing lights on their costume heads. The duo, comprised of guitarist and loop pedalist Khn and drummer Klek, smoothly delivered a new unreleased track called Zugzegk</em, captivating the audience with their music. The title of the song, pronounced by Fallon, had a sound resembling someone spitting.

Apart from their extensive touring schedule this year, Angine de Poitrine has been shortlisted for the upcoming 2026 Polaris Concert slated for Sept. 22. Their track Fabienk has also earned a nomination for the SOCAN Polaris Song Prize.
