“Off Campus” Boosts The Beaches’ Streams 888%

The top-ranking show on Prime Video in Canada, “Off Campus,” has significantly boosted streaming numbers for The Beaches. Inspired by Elle Kennedy’s book series, this hockey romance series follows the success of “Heated Rivalry.” The band’s music, particularly their 2023 track “Edge of the Earth,” experienced an 888% surge in streams across various platforms following its feature in Episode 2.

The Toronto-based group expressed their excitement on social media about their music being showcased in the popular series. They shared a video of themselves reacting joyously to their song playing in the show, with a caption highlighting their connection to the “Off Campus” universe.

In the episode, the characters Hannah and Garrett discuss The Beaches, with Hannah recommending their Coachella performance. Garrett later discovers the band on Spotify, leading to “Edge of The Earth” playing in the final scene, resulting in a remarkable increase in streams on Spotify, reaching 1,776,550 million streams since the show’s premiere.

Capitalizing on the show’s success, The Beaches announced the production of stickers featuring the scene referencing them, to be sent to 30 lucky fans. Additionally, they shared a video of their Coachella performance of “Edge of the Earth” on YouTube, dedicating it to Hannah and Garrett from “Off Campus.” The band’s entire discography has seen a 48% rise in streams week-over-week since the show debuted.
