In 2006, Nelly Furtado achieved her first No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 with her third album, “Loose.” The album, which featured a fresh sound produced by Timbaland, resonated globally and spawned several of Furtado’s most enduring hits, including “Promiscuous,” “Maneater,” “Say It Right,” and “All Good Things (Come to an End).”

Recently, Furtado took to her social media platforms to announce a special 20th-anniversary edition of the album, set to be released on Sept. 4. This edition will include never-before-heard vault tracks, new interpretations of her songs, and even some brand-new music, including a long-awaited top-secret demo.

Additionally, Furtado dropped a stripped-back version of “Maneater” called the “Ritual Version,” featuring a piano-led arrangement instead of the original’s synth-heavy production. The 2006 release of “Loose” remains Furtado’s most commercially successful album, selling over 10 million copies and achieving six-times platinum status in Canada.

In 2021, Furtado released an expanded version of “Loose,” and her latest album, “7,” came out in 2024. Earlier this year, she was honored by being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame by Drake, who praised her contributions to the music industry. Various artists paid tribute to Furtado by performing a medley of her hits during the induction ceremony.

Most recently, Furtado collaborated on “No Place Like Home” with Davido and Major Lazer for the official 2026 FIFA World Cup album. She also worked on “Electric Circus” with producer boi-1da for Canada Soccer’s album, “What If It All Goes Right?”
