General Manager and President of Hockey Operations Steve Staios, speaking on behalf of the organization, denounced the fabricated reports and criticized those spreading malicious rumors, labeling them as trolls and sick individuals. The team emphasized the importance of respecting Ullmark’s privacy and condemned outside influences attempting to disrupt the team with baseless speculation.
In response to the situation, team captain Brady Tkachuk and other Senators players showed their solidarity with Ullmark following the team’s announcement of his leave. The organization has not provided a specific timeline for Ullmark’s return at this time.
