Maria Gajraj, a 28-year-old organist from Montreal with roots in Ottawa, won top prizes in the Canadian National Organ Competition. She has a passion for diverse music genres, from Afro-Caribbean compositions to contemporary works. Maria will soon assume the role of music director at St. Philip’s Anglican Church in Vancouver.
Emma Ahern, a 28-year-old oboist from Quebec City, has a deep connection to The Hague in the Netherlands. Luke Blackmore, a 26-year-old composer from St. John’s, has earned recognition for his innovative compositions.
