CF Montreal has terminated assistant coach Maxime Leconte following an internal disciplinary review. The Major League Soccer team made the announcement on Wednesday, refraining from disclosing the specific cause for Leconte’s dismissal due to confidentiality reasons.

Leconte, a 35-year-old from France, had joined the coaching staff in May but spent only a brief period with the club before being let go. This decision comes after Marco Donadel was appointed as CF Montreal’s permanent head coach two weeks ago.

Donadel, who initially took on the role on an interim basis in March, successfully navigated the team through a challenging season that culminated in a 6-18-10 record. CF Montreal notably had the youngest squad and the smallest payroll in Major League Soccer during this period.
