The Edmonton Oilers have officially placed goaltender Tristan Jarry on the injured reserve list, as confirmed by the NHL team on Friday. Jarry’s placement on the injured reserve list follows an incident during Edmonton’s recent 3-1 victory over Boston where he sustained an injury while attempting a save in the second period.

This move to the injured reserve list comes shortly after Jarry was acquired by the Oilers, alongside forward Sam Poulin, in a trade deal that involved sending goalie Stuart Skinner, defenseman Brett Kulak, and a 2029 second-round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Since joining Edmonton, Jarry has won all three of his starts but has posted a 3.08 goals-against average and an .887 save percentage during this period. To fill in for Jarry, the Oilers have called up goaltender Connor Ingram from the Bakersfield Condors, the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, to serve as a backup to Calvin Pickard, who performed well in relief during the last game.

Additionally, the Oilers have placed forward Jack Roslovic on long-term injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury he sustained during Edmonton’s 8-3 defeat against Dallas on November 25. Before his injury, Roslovic had an impressive season with 10 goals and eight assists in 23 games.

Looking ahead, the Oilers are scheduled to compete against the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul on Saturday afternoon.
