It has been almost two months since Eli Wood, a 25-year-old individual, disappeared from his residence in Kitchener, Ontario, under questionable circumstances. Wood’s family is now offering a $5,000 reward for any details leading to his whereabouts and safe return.

Although declining media interviews, Cindy Wood Amero, Eli Wood’s mother, has taken to Facebook to implore the public to continue searching for her son, emphasizing the importance of community assistance in this challenging time.

Following a suspicious fire incident at his Kitchener home on October 19, Wood has not been in contact with friends or relatives. The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) has confirmed the fire as arson, targeting the property, with suspicions of foul play in connection to Wood’s disappearance.

Const. Chris Iden of WRPS stated in an email to CBC News that the investigation is actively ongoing, with no new updates available for public disclosure at present. Despite a recent weather-related cancellation of a planned ground search, the police acknowledge the significant interest from the community and assure continuous updates to the Wood family through their liaison officer.

Eli Wood, a student in the master of social work program at Wilfrid Laurier University and a member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, is described as 4-foot-10, weighing between 85 and 95 pounds, with distinctive features including green eyes, light-colored hair, and tattoos on his forearms.

The family’s quest for information and closure continues, urging anyone with relevant details to come forward and assist in reuniting Wood with his loved ones.
