Kaylie Buck Takes Silver at World Cup Snowboarding

Canadian snowboarder Kaylie Buck secured a silver medal at the World Cup in the women’s parallel giant slalom competition held in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. Hailing from Oakville, Ontario, Buck clocked a time of one minute and 17.35 seconds. The gold was claimed by Austria’s Sabine Payer with a time of 1:15.99, surpassing Buck’s performance.

In the battle for bronze, Czechia’s Zuzana Maderova finished ahead of Italy’s Jasmin Coratti, securing the third spot with times of 1:16.37 and 1:16.49, respectively. This event marked Buck’s first career World Cup snowboarding medal.

Notably, this achievement marked the pinnacle of Buck’s performance in the World Cup season, where she finished 23rd and 30th in previous competitions.
