Toronto Tempo supporters have been eagerly anticipating the reveal of their team’s uniforms for the upcoming WNBA season. The unveiling of the home and away jerseys took place on Tuesday, showcasing a classic design inspired by traditional basketball attire. The home jersey is white, while the away jersey features a striking Tempo Bordeaux color with accents of Borealis Blue.

Whitney Bell, the chief marketing officer of Tempo, expressed that the goal was to create timeless uniforms that blend modernity with fashion appeal. The team’s color scheme and design were carefully chosen to resonate with fans and provide a stylish statement for everyday wear.

The franchise was granted to Toronto in May 2024, with the team name, logo, and colors announced later that year. Although the uniforms were designed in November 2024, production lead time meant that the jerseys remained a closely guarded secret until the recent unveiling.

Toronto’s Explorer jersey, one of the three uniforms designed by Nike for WNBA teams, will be available for purchase in January. Notably, the Heroine jerseys are not sold to the public, and the Rebel design is yet to be revealed.

The distinctive feature of Toronto’s jerseys is the inclusion of six speed lines on the sides, symbolizing the city’s six boroughs and the six players involved in each game, including the dedicated fans. Bell emphasized that these speed lines set the team apart and align with the dynamic nature of both the team’s name and the game itself.

The Toronto Tempo are set to make their WNBA debut in 2026, with most home games scheduled to be held at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto. Additionally, the team has committed to playing two regular-season home games in Vancouver and two in Montreal, showcasing their dedication to engaging fans across different cities.
