A woman who served as Frank Stronach’s personal aide years ago is giving testimony at his sexual assault trial in Toronto. Jennifer Jackson, who worked alongside the businessman at Magna International from 1977 to early 1982, stated that she had frequent interactions with him during that period. Jackson mentioned that as part of her duties, she decorated Stronach’s condo in a waterfront building, noting its minimal furnishings due to it not being a full-time residence.

The defense team commenced presenting its case on Monday, bringing in various witnesses, including Stronach’s former chauffeur, Glenn Anderson. Anderson shared that he was responsible for driving Stronach to work-related events and meetings for about a decade in the 1980s. He highlighted that Stronach did not have a passion for cars and exclusively owned Cadillacs, contrary to the perception of him driving a European or sports vehicle.

During the trial, the final of the seven accusers testified last week, mentioning that Stronach had picked her up in a low-slung, two-door foreign car that she believed to be a Porsche. Stronach, renowned as the founder of Magna International, a prominent auto parts conglomerate, pleaded not guilty to 12 charges related to alleged incidents from the 1970s. Prosecutors have recently reduced the number of charges to seven, focusing on allegations from four complainants.

Crown prosecutor Jelena Vlacic informed the court on Monday that two additional charges would be dropped, leaving Stronach facing seven charges instead of the initial 12. This adjustment marks a significant development in the ongoing sexual assault trial of Frank Stronach in Toronto.
