Three suicide bombers carried out an attack on the headquarters of a Pakistani paramilitary force, resulting in the deaths of three personnel and injuries to at least five individuals, as confirmed by officials. The assailants initiated gunfire while breaching the Federal Constabulary headquarters in Peshawar before detonating themselves within the compound, causing casualties among the security personnel.

Deputy Commandant Javed Iqbal reported the loss of three paramilitary members due to the attack. A senior official, speaking on anonymity, revealed that the first suicide bomber targeted the main entrance while the others infiltrated the premise. Law enforcement authorities, including the army and police, have secured the area and are managing the situation cautiously amid suspicions of additional terrorists within the headquarters.

Situated in a densely populated region of Peshawar, the force’s headquarters saw restricted access with military, police, and security personnel cordoning off the vicinity, according to local resident Safdar Khan. The wounded, among them two paramilitary personnel, were swiftly transported to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment, as confirmed by hospital spokesperson Mohammad Asim.

As of now, no militant faction has claimed responsibility for the assault. Notably, there has been a surge in militant activities recently, following border conflicts between Pakistan and Afghanistan, with Pakistan accusing the Afghan Taliban of harboring militants responsible for cross-border attacks, a claim denied by Kabul.
